Paw Justice:

Paw Justice exists to force change, educate and encourage people to make good choices around their pets, and amend the law so that those who abuse animals receive a punishment that matches the crime. They also take part in community-focused projects such as setting up of the Paw Justice Foodbank, initiating education programs to teach our youth about animal care and welfare (increasing empathy for animals) and setting up an emergency surgery fund.

How petpost.com.au supports Paw Justice:

We work directly with Paw Justice by supplying cat & dog food to the Paw Justice Food Bank. This service shares its food supplies with more than 71 indiviudal rescue groups, animal shelters and individual rescuers throughout the country. These include Dogwatch, Lonely Miaow, Mastiff Rescue Group, Auckland Puppy Rescue, HURRAH and individual branches of the SPCA just to name a few. We donated $22,439 worth of stock in September 2020 and then another $65,836 worth in May 2021 for a minimum of $88,275 worth (retail value) across the last year.

We also work to support Paw Justice through to sale of their charity hoodies on our website. As well as supporting them in their charity events and initiatives such as the Ride For Justice and WOOFSTOCK.

Bay Of Islands Animal Rescue:

Bay of Islands Animal Rescue ‘Never Ending Story’ was founded in 2007 when its founder moved to the Bay of Islands. Here she and a group of passionate, like-minded people saw the need to make a difference. They joined together to rescue and re-home animals and, in early 2017, formed Bay of Islands Animal Rescue Trust (BOIAR). The charity re-homes, adopts, fosters and transports an overwhelming number of animals each day including cats, horses, sheep, pigs, cows, ducks, chickens and even rabbits and an alpaca. The organisation still has a huge focus on dogs with an estimated 1500+ expected to be saved by the team each year.

How petpost.com.au supports Bay Of Islands Animal Rescue:

Our partnership with the Bay Of Islands began after we saw their call for help on Facebook in November 2020 as they were running desperately low on food. So we shipped pellets worth of cat and dog food direct to them from our distribution centre. Then in December 2020 we partnered with Pic’s Peanut Butter to sell peanut butter with all proceeds going to BOIAR. Now we have donated $15,500 worth of Bravecto flea & worm treatments to Bay of Islands Animal Rescue to use on the animals in their care, as well as part of a community drive to where local northland dogs will be given Bravecto, Parvo Vaccine, Wormer and microchipped free of charge.

HUHA:

Helping you help animals (HUHA) is dedicated to teaching empathy to the community and providing shelter for those less fortunate animals that struggle to survive in today’s disposable culture. The sanctuary is fun and interactive in many ways, designed to encourage our community to be proactive and take responsibility for the welfare of animals and the protection of our unique environment. HUHA actively works every day to find homes and foster care for a multitude of homeless, abandoned, seized and abused animals. We’re here to help you help animals.

How petpost.com.au supports HUHA:

petpost.com.au has teamed up with Pic’s Peanut Butter to sell a special batch of ‘salt free’ dog friendly peanut butter with 100% of the proceeds going to HUHA. We also hope to partner with them for more charity initiatives in the near future.
